New Entrants
– Our first of two entrants this week comes from returning artist Nick Jonas with his new single, Find You. At first, I didn’t really find it interesting. But with more listens, I’ve come around it. The lyrics to this one are pretty deep. It talks about how one tries to find love, but doesn’t really know where to look. I like the use of the guitars throughout the song. While it’s not quite as good as Chains, it’s pretty solid overall.

– And then, we have Niall Horan with another song on the countdown. Enter Too Much To Ask, the third single off of his recently released album, Flicker. I pretty much explained this song in my previous post when it debuted on Hits 1. Now, it’s not as upbeat as Slow Hands, but it does show that Niall is good at making acoustic tracks. This song talks about lost love, and the memories they shared together. But now, the person in question is alone and needs someone to come back. Overall, it’s a very nice song, and I’m hoping it does well.

I Never Really Know Just Where To Find Blurbs
– First up, our two exits. I did like Now Or Never for a while, but I knew it wouldn’t stick with me in the long run. Wild Thoughts, on the other hand, managed to stick with me and I’m sad to see it go. It held up well on this chart, and I’m glad that it got just as big as its predecessor. While some are throwing a be-gone party, I’m not one of them.

– So, Sorry Not Sorry at #1? I’m fine with it personally. I’ve slightly grown back into the song, though not quite enough to put it in green. I’d much prefer Feel It Still at the top, but you never know for sure if songs like Sorry Not Sorry can hit #1.

1-800-273-8255 has hit a new peak of #3. I can see it hitting #1 in the near future. If Sorry Not Sorry and Feel It Still did before, then this one has a chance, also.

– *sees #8* Ouch! Well, this didn’t take long. Look What You Made Me Do made a disappointing (to me, at least) drop out of the Top 5 rather quickly. Seeing as its still falling hard elsewhere, I shouldn’t be surprised. Good thing it spent 1 week at #1, so props to that.

– But then, there’s Thunder entering the Top 10 at #9, which isn’t a surprise since that one is still gaining. I have a feeling this could potentially hit #1 in the near future. Fun fact: both the biggest drop and jump moved 6 spots.

– Yes, you’re reading that right. I have indeed grown into Havana with repeated listens. I do like the piano work in this one, and I think Camila’s vocals are pretty good. Also, before introducing Havana, Ryan Seacrest mentioned that she performed a Spanish version of this song at the Latin Music Awards. Before today, I didn’t know Havana was her birth place. Heh, I guess I need to start studying these music artists more often.

– So, Ryan Seacrest mentioned during his introduction of Rockstar that it started out as a cell phone video. I wonder is that how most rap music began flooding the charts because of this? I mean, I heard it was due to the popularity of Vine. Now that Vine is basically gone, I wonder how will these rappers go viral, heh?

– Before introducing That’s What I Like, Ryan Seacrest mentioned that Bruno Mars had a sinus infection (feel better, Bruno!), but it didn’t stop him from making a epic performance at a concert. Yep, he’s still an electrifying entertainer!
