Hello, fam! So, I’ll be doing a rankdown based on the Hits 1 Year-End for 2018! It’s been a long time coming, but I am finally ready to do this!

All you have to do is rank all of the songs based on your opinions, from #1 (which will be your favorite) to #45 (your least favorite). You’ll have to submit your rankings in order to participate. And then once submissions are closed, I’ll be ready to reveal the results. I’ll most likely do 5 songs at a time. I do plan on revealing some extras at some point. 

The deadline as of right now to submit your rankings will be on January 12, 2019 at 11:00pm EST. Here is the link to send me you submissions.

Blurb: Not very surprised at all by this. The song shows how much Maroon 5 has changed for the worse. Adam has essentially taken over the band, and that’s not a good thing. The production is very underwhelming, and I’m not sold on the lyrics.

Blurb: This was definitely a great cover of the song from The Cranberries. It’s basically a tribute to one of their band members Dolores O’Riordan who passed away last year. Their vocals are pretty good, and I love the production here. In a way, they remind me of Three Days Grace.

Extra #3: X Ambassadors – Ahead Of Myself

My Opinion: Great

Blurb: It’s not quite as good as Renegades, which was a huge favorite of mine back in 2015. But this song is still solid. These guys sound pretty good overall throughout the song. I like the chorus, the production is nice, and the lyrics are well-written.

Blurb: While it wasn’t necessarily the best off of Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, the remix did add some life to it. Again, I really like Halsey and she shows a nice display of talent. I like the verses we get from Big Sean and Stefflon Don. Too bad Hits 1 decided to go with the solo version instead of the remix.

Blurb: This song is just beautiful. I pretty much explained why I felt that way in My Top 50 Songs of 2018, where I ranked it at #11. But everything about the song from the top down, bottom up is just divine. Kesha sounds amazing as always, the lyrics are creative, and the piano work is nicely done.
