Okay, so we’re officially halfway through 2018. For this post, I’m going to be doing something different here that has never really been done before: the Mid-Year review. Basically, I’m just going over what has happened in 2018 so far in terms of music. I know that my Year-End posts aren’t going to be until December, but I decided to compile some of the stats for this year so far. Here is the color code that I’ll be using:
- Purple – Best Song
- Green – Great
- Blue – Good
- Pink – Decent
- Yellow – Mediocre
- Turquoise – Bad
- Red – Garbage
- Orange – Worst Song
We’ll start with the list of #1 songs for both charts that I review weekly: The American Top 40 and the Hits 1 Weekend Countdown. The list isn’t that much different in comparison to last year around that point. Sure, we did have some new artists that have hit #1 this year. But other than that, the majority of the #1 songs in 2018 come from the same artists that have dominated in 2017. If I’m being honest, it’s like we’re basically picking up where we left off from that year. With that in mind, here are the list of #1 songs of 2018 so far:
