Hello, fam! I would like to say Happy New Year to you all! 2019 is officially underway! As most of you already know, I’m hosting a rankdown regarding the Hits 1 Year-End for 2018. You have until next week to submit your rankings. Details are on my page above. I also hope to get my review out before then. In the meantime, here’s the first Hits 1 Countdown post for the year. There are no songs leaving us this week, so let’s go!
The Countdown:
Last Week’s #1 Song: The Chainsmokers featuring Kelsea Ballerini – This Feeling
45. NOTD featuring Bea Miller – I Wanna Know (#44) [–1]
44. Shawn Mendes – In My Blood (#45) [+1] [Spent 2 Weeks At #1]
43. Zedd featuring Maren Morris and Grey – The Middle (#41) [–2] [Spent 9 Weeks At #1]
42. TWENTY ØNE PILØTS – My Blood (#41) [–1]

#1 Song This Week One Year Ago: Imagine Dragons – Thunder (3rd of 5 Weeks At #1)
Biggest DRRRRRRROP!!! Of The Week: Bebe Rexha – I’m A Mess (–7)
Biggest Jump Of The Week: Tie between Lauv featuring Julia Michaels – There’s No Way and TWENTY ØNE PILØTS – Chlorine (+7)
I Feel Like Blurbin’ With You
– It’s good to see I’m A Mess finally drop out of the Top 30. Even though it was only a small drop, it’s pleasing to see that the song’s time is nearing its end. Words cannot describe how annoying it still is.
– Before introducing The Way I Am, Spyder Harrison mentioned that Charlie Puth’s favorite song is The Star Spangled Banner. Heh, I’ll bet he thinks he can sing the song at every event. I wonder how will that sound.
– So, it’s been recently announced that Cardi B and Bruno Mars are teaming up again in another single. It was this time last year that they gave us Finesse, which was one of my favorites for 2018. Hopefully, they’ll give us something similar. I’m already hyped up for their new single!
– We do get some big jumps that I’m not thrilled about. Both There’s No Way and Chlorine make their way up on the countdown. There’s nothing interesting about those songs whatsoever, especially the former.
– Nothing really has changed in the Top 10 on the first weekend of the new year other than some songs moving spots. But it’s still really nice to have This Feeling hold the #1 spot for the fourth consecutive week.

Songs That Debuted This Week One Year Ago:
Taylor Swift featuring Ed Sheeran and Future – End Game: Although not a stand-out from Reputation, it was definitely interesting to some capacity. And Future doesn’t sound bad here. Too bad this didn’t end up on Hits 1 Year-End list for a song that hit #1.
Fall Out Boy – Hold Me Tight Or Don’t: I thought this was pretty cool for a song from Fall Out Boy. The Latin vibe is what gets me here. I’d say this was one of the few songs I liked from MANIA.

After a very long hiatus, I've decided to come back for a little bit in 2019. I won't be blogging very much though. I did, however, submit my rankings for the year-end chart for 2018.

Thanks!Oh, and something I want to tell you. You're missing two songs. Plus, Mine was never on the Year-End list.

Ah, I see my mistake. I sent you another response through the form (sorry if I'm not allowed to do this, but I didn't want to send the message in public).

Hello, Montavis, I have a question to ask you.So I told my brother about your Hits 1 Year-End Rankdown (because he's much more into music than I am), and he told me that he wants to do it. However, he doesn't have a Blogger account, and I don't know if non-Bloggers can participate in the voting (although I assume they can since there isn't anything in the rules that they can't). I told him he can vote anyways even if it isn't allowed (probably not likely, as mentioned earlier). He'll most likely sign up as PlasmaVortex28. So would he be allowed to participate?

I’m not Montavis but some people who don’t do Blogger have sent so I think it’s fine

Yeah, anyone can participate. Doesn't really matter if you have Blogger or not. As long as you submit, everything's fine. 🙂
