My 200,000 Pageview Special: A Q&A Post

Hello, fam! I have been wanting to do this for some time. But after all that work, it’s finally here. For my 200,000 Pageview Special, I will be doing my very first Q&A post. It’s been over two years since I’ve started this blog. I would like to say thank you all for reading this amazing blog for two years. So, I think now is the appropriate time for me to be able to do this. You’e asked me some questions, and I’ll be giving you answers. Let’s not waste any time, shall we? Here we go!

Question #1: Why did you decide to start blogging?
Answer: I’ve been actively following music since 2010. But at the time, I never really cared about reviewing music. I started following the countdown back in 2015, where I discovered more music. I would say I started blogging mostly out of boredom. But the reason I started is actually because I wanted to learn a lot of different things when it comes to music and I felt I had the skill to be able to criticize music.

Question #2: What do you like doing outside of listening to music and blogging?
Answer:
I watch a lot of sports, mainly football because it is actually my favorite sport. I also like to travel, go to concerts, and spending time with my family.

Question #3: What do you think is the most important part of making music flow?
Answer: I’ve never been answered that question before. I would think it has something to do with the beat, which can make an impact.

Question #4: What’s your favorite song ever?
Answer: I think I mentioned this quite a few times. But my favorite song of all time is actually Celine Dion – My Heart Will Go On. It’s definitely amazing in every sense of the word. I love the lyrics and her voice. I also love the emotion we get from her. Yeah, it’s a special song that holds dear to my heart.

Question #5: Favorite song from Ariana Grande?
Answer: I did a Top 10 post regarding Ariana Grande. Feel free to check it out if you haven’t already. But to answer your question, my favorite is Into You. The reason is because it showcases Ariana’s voice overall. I love the sultry vibe it’s going for and the way she channels her inner Mariah Carey gives me chills. Yeah, this is divine in every sense of the word.

Question #6: Do you remember Sucker Free Countdown? If so, what’s your favorite video during that time?
Answer: Unfortunately, I’ve never actually watched the show back in the day. Therefore, I don’t have any favorite videos. Sorry.

Question #7: Which countdown do you prefer – Hits 1 or AT40?
Answer: Personally, I prefer the Hits 1 Weekend Countdown for a couple different reasons. For one, I think it’s exciting watching some songs that aren’t huge hits elsewhere get big there. There are some examples, like Galway Girl and Let Me Go, which both ended up hitting #1 in 2017 and 2018, respectively. And second, the countdown itself is exciting each and every week, mainly because there’s more activity here than on the AT40. That’s personally how I feel. I have some more reasons, but I won’t really get into them right now.

Question #8: Do you have any pets? If so, what are they and what are their names?
Answer: I currently don’t have any pets at this time. I remember having a dog back in the day, though. But that’s about it.

Question #9: Rank these songs in order:

  • Lewis Capaldi – Someone You Loved
  • Ally Brooke featuring A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie – Lips Don’t Lie
  • OneRepublic – Rescue Me
  • Panic! At The Disco – Say Amen (Saturday Night)
Answer:

1. Panic! At The Disco – Say Amen (Saturday Night)
2. OneRepublic – Rescue Me
3. Ally Brooke featuring A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie – Lips Don’t Lie
4. Lewis Capaldi – Someone You Loved

Question #10: Is your most missed song Conrad Sewell – Hold Me Up?
Answer: I wouldn’t exactly say it’s my most missed song. But I definitely enjoyed that song overall. This guy has a great voice and the production is just neat. It would’ve been nice if that song had success elsewhere. Sadly, it just didn’t happen that way.

Question #11: Which is your favorite animal? The python or the hawk?
Answer: I’m going to go with the hawk on this one. I love the way they fly. That’s basically all I have to say about it.

Question #12: What’s your favorite phase of the moon?
Answer: That one’s easy. I like the full moon because I love the way it looks, especially at night. And the brightness to it is just divine.

Question #13: Who is your #1 artist of all time?
Answer: That’s a good question. It’s hard for me to choose, but I’m going with Céline Dion. The reason being is because I think she has the best voice I’ve ever heard in my entire life. She consistently impresses me with every single she has released. I listen to her music all the time when I was growing up, and I still do even to this day.

Question #14: Why do you stan Zedd?
Good question. I’ll start off by saying that I don’t stan nor am I a fangirl. I judge based on the quality of music. And believe it or not, I’ve actually been pretty mixed Zedd’s music lately. Starving was never really a good song after a while, and I found Get Low to be a disappointment as well. But when it comes to songs like StayThe Middle, and Happy Now, it’s a different story. Stay was pretty cool mostly because I thought Zedd got creative with the ticking clock and Alessia Cara was a good choice overall. She has a unique voice and she showed it throughout the song. It was definitely something I enjoyed for much of 2017. For The Middle (which was and still is my #1 favorite song of 2018), I absolutely LOVE the collaboration with Maren Morris. She shines in pretty much every part of the song. In terms of Happy Now, I was impressed with Elley Duhé with her vocals, and I like the instrumental after the chorus. Yeah, even though they can be generic at times, I still hold a 100% unpopular opinion towards what Zedd’s been offering the past couple of years. There’s also 365 with Katy Perry which I love as well. But I won’t get into that song right now.

Question #15: You can only listen to one song for the rest of your life. What would it be?
Answer:
Again, like I mentioned, I’m going with Celine Dion – My Heart Will Go On simply because it is divine in every sense of the word. I pretty much explained why it’s my favorite song of all time. So yeah.

And with that, my 200,000 Pageview Special is now complete! It always feels good doing these special posts for you guys. This was my very first Q&A, and I’m glad I was able to get that done! I’m grateful for everything you guys do. And once again, I would like to thank all of you for simply reading this blog! You are all truly awesome! I hope everyone here has a good day!
