Hello, fam! We’ve now entered December, and Christmas is almost upon us! This week, I posted a review on My Worst Songs Of 2019. You can check it out in case you missed it. More Year-End posts are on the way. As a matter of fact, I have one that is almost ready. I’ll have it posted by next week. Also, there’s one last thing I want to say before I get started. Fellow blogger Adrian has officially decided to say goodbye after six years of blogging. He is such an inspiration and I looked forward to his posts each and every week. I wish him the best at his future endeavors. It’s been a fun ride, Adrian. Thank you for inspiring me to start this blog. I do plan on continuing my blogging journey heading into 2020. New Entrants:
– We have more of Travis Scott here, and he gives us Highest In The Room. Me, personally, I’m not a huge fan of his music. He hasn’t really impressed me outside of a few songs from ASTROWORLD. It’s about a toxic relationship and wanting to get out of it. We’ve seen a lot of songs about those nowadays. There’s really not a whole lot about the song that’s worth caring about. The production is pretty lackluster and I’m not feeling the beat. Travis sounds okay, but he didn’t really shine in any part of the song. What more can I say? Yeah, I’m not feeling this overall.
That’s Just The Way It Blurbs
– It’s about time we said goodbye to Old Town Road. Lil Nas X does have some talent. He just doesn’t show it in this song and everything else about it (including Billy’s verse) is mediocre all around. So yeah.
– Well, we won’t see Camila get another huge hit heading into 2020 as Liar takes a big drop. That one doesn’t look like it’ll be much longer with us.
– Ugh, why in the hell are we letting Hot Girl Bummer gain momentum??? We are looking for better music heading into next year and this isn’t what I want. Again, his voice is obnoxious and the rest of the song sucks. We don’t need it to become a much bigger hit.
– We do have Don’t Start Now moving upward. Everything about this song is divine in every sense of the word. It’s a nice comeback for Dua Lipa. That’s the kind of song I want to see be successful in 2020.
– And then our #1. Lizzo continues to ride the hot hand as she gets her second ever #1 on this countdown in the form of Good As Hell. I think it better than Truth Hurts mostly because of the chorus and the production. It’s nice to see her back at #1, this time with a different song.
