New Entrants:
– So, does anyone remember the band Lukas Graham? You know, the guys that gave us 7 Years which was a hit back in 2016? Well, they’re back with their new single, in the form of Love Someone. 7 Years was something I genuinely enjoyed throughout much of 2016. While some here weren’t necessarily big fans of the song, I was among those who loved it. I can say that their new song is also pretty good for the most part. I like the creativity in the lyrics. Of course, they’re basically talking about loving someone no matter what. It’s something all of us can relate to. I do like the vocals we get from Lukas Forcehammer. I think he has a nice voice. The instrumentation is pretty decent here. Do I see this becoming a hit? Probably not. But I do like the song and it’s nice to see Lukas Graham make their comeback.
Blurb Someone
– We’ll begin with our one exit. We sadly say goodbye No Tears Left To Cry by Ariana Grande. I thought it was a great comeback single for Ariana Grande and it became a huge favorite of mine for much of 2018. As you can recall, I ranked it as my #4 song of the year. It had a successful run and I’m glad it was able to hit #1 on this countdown. Farewell, No Tears Left To Cry. You will definitely be missed.
– The big jump from Sweet But Psycho was a small one, but I’ll take it. It’s nice to see Ava Max get some recognition with the song. It’s doing pretty well overall in sales, so I have a feeling it may stick around for a little while.
– Ryan Seacrest mentioned during the introduction for Nothing Breaks Like A Heart that Miley Cyrus is working on a collaboration with Shawn Mendes. I actually heard about this a while ago while I was surfing the web. It’ll be interesting to see what these two can come up with.
– Before introducing Close To Me, Ryan Seacrest mentioned that Ellie Goulding got annoyed with her voice and she almost decided to quit music altogether. I didn’t quite think Ellie would be annoyed by her own voice. I’m sure it’s still good. I guess she gets a little nervous about that. Heh, I sometimes get nervous about hearing my own voice. But after a while, I tend to overcome it.
